Zwitserland heeft voor het vierde WK op rij de achtste finales van het WK bereikt. Het team van bondscoach Murat Yakin won in Vancouver met 2-0 van Algerije, waarmee het WK erop zit voor Anis Hadj Moussa en Ramiz Zerrouki.
